Time for wine
Gary Barnett, from The Imperial Hotel in Barnstaple, shares his season recommendations
"With winter's rich colours and hearty warming dishes prepared by our chef, I would recommend a Chilean La Joya Gran Reserva. An intense dark red with a blend of chocolate and fruit berries it is the perfect accompaniment.
For the white wine why not try an Italian chardonnay with its textured toasty flavours and a long finish, it is sublime served with sumptuous fish dishes."
