Pilton Green Man Festival | 20th July

Pilton's annual Green Man Festival is back for another year of the best local food, drink, music activities and lots of fun. The day is kicked off with a Parade through Barnstaple with many local schools and groups taking the walk and ending in Pilton where the fun begins, with local food and drink stalls, activities, live music and much more, it's the perfect day out for everyone.

RHS Rosemoor Beginners Guide | 25-26th July

If you would like to change your garden but have no idea where to begin, this is the perfect workshop for you. Held over 2 days this very practical workshop will include a walk to show you design ideas and planting combinations, seeing how they can be adapted to your own garden.

You will also learn how to survey your garden area, measure marked out example gardens and arrange a mixture of real potted plants, shrubs, trees and garden features.

Devon Street Food Festival | 2nd-4th August

Returning for the 2nd to 4th August 2019, Devon Street Food Festival heads back to the Ilfracombe seafront for more tables and stalls lined with delicious food and drink. 

The event is completely FREE and brought to you by Streetfood Warehouse. So take the whole family to this friendly weekend off food to enjoy delicious tastes and award-winning street food.

North Devon County Show | 7th August

The North Devon County Show returns for 2019 with the usual Devon blend of attractions, exhibitions, trade stands, craft and food - celebrating all things rural. It's the premier agricultural event in the region and has something for everyone.

There will be classes for Alpacas, Beef and Dairy Cattle, Sheep, Horse Showing Classes and Show Jumping, plus Pony Club Games and Young Handler competitions. Visitors can also expect to enjoy an Open Dog Show and Poultry Display.

Marwood Hill Gardens

This magical and very special 20 acre private garden with three lakes is set in a valley tucked away, only 4 miles from Barnstaple. Created by Dr Jimmy Smart VMH in the late 1950's the gardens are a wonderful haven in which to relax and enjoy the impressive collections of plants, shrubs, and trees aloung with a peaceful atmosphere.
